Battelle Innovation in Climate Resilience 2024, Washington, DC, April 22-24, 2024
Emilie Mazzacurati and Katie MacDonald attended Battelle’s annual event focused on “Solutions For Scaling Change”. The focus areas of the conference include empowering action for rapid carbon neutrality, investing in climate resilient infrastructure, systems to fortify our future and advancing sustainability solutions for the next generation.

This session focused on what the private sector can do to further stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship around new climate adaptation and resilience technologies that make an impact on climate resilience and adaptation. Emilie Mazzacurati, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Tailwind, spoke at a webinar on “Scaling Private Investment in Climate Adaptation and Biodiversity” on hosted by Scaling Community of Practice and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
With close to 20 years of experience driving private investments in climate finance and adaptation and resilience, Emilie joined the discussion, alongside Elvira Lefting, Tamer El-Raghy, Gregory WatsonKarin Kemper and Matt Eldridge and addressed the historically challenging task of mobilizing private financing for climate change adaptation and biodiversity investments.
